A ten minute boatride from Glengarven brings you to Bigwin Island. The Bigwin Resort on days gone by has been replaced with a world class golf course and restored buildings which serve as a clubhouse and dining room for a most appreciative clientele. Dwight, and Glengarven are located 16 kilometers east of Huntsville Ontario Canada at the junction of highways 60 and 35. Dwight is a small village with a few stores and shops that can provide supplies and goods at hand.

Huntsville is the regional centre of a large geographic area of central Ontario. It is the cultural centre of the area. Features such as a new 400 seat Algonquin Performing Arts Theater and many wonderful restaurants cater to visitors from all over North America and beyond. As an artist’s enclave, the area features the traditional Autumn Studio Tour that showcases world class artists to all. Deerhurst Resort, is ten minutes from the property en route to Huntsville. Truly one of the finest resorts in Canada, it will host the G8 World Summit in 2010. The recreational and cultural fabric of this area is world-renowned and the Historic Downtown Huntsville area is second to none.

The area is well served by the Ontario Provincial Police detachment in Huntsville with over 40 officers on staff.

A major hospital in Huntsville is very well equipped with state of the art equipment and an excellent roster of medical and health related specialists. It has a Helipad for rapid transportation to Toronto and other larger centers when required. The Hospital is 15 minutes by road from the property.

An airport capable of handling virtually any size private jet is located a 40 minute drive from the property. A smaller private strip is located at Deerhurst and it is usually available in the summer upon satisfactory arrangements in advance.
